 This  can be a mistake, you don’t want to bring all of your friends, all the bridesmaids, sisters and their friends. It’s very sweet for everyone to want to be there for you, and it’s nice to include them. However having a lot of people at your consultation means a lot of different opinions, one person likes round cakes one likes square and they all like different flavors… So unless you can stand your ground and not let your vision be swayed we suggest only bringing your groom and the parents. This eliminates a lot of confusion and frustration and gives you a special memory you’ll remember forever. (after you have your cake ordered you can always take them online and show them a picture :0)

The email read something about a chef named Paul,  aboard a yacht called the M.Y Ocean Victory that was traveling around the world and he would be in a position to visit Utah soon. He wanted to know if Carrie had any available time to give him private lessons… The private lessons we do get asked about a lot but since Paul was aboard a yacht it just didn’t quit seem to sound right, we were waiting for the part where he says “OH by the way I need you to send me you account number so that I may transfer funds to you”  (or something like that)…

 I’m sure everyone gets the email that says “Hello my name is so and so and I have been captured and I am stuck in a foreign country and I need you to forward me MILLIONS of dollars so that I my “find my way back home.”  They usually get caught in our spam but occasionally one gets through. So to be honest Carrie and I thought that was what this one was going to be. LOL

OOPS!

I guess we were wrong, after a several email back and forth Paul and Carrie set up a date to teach Paul private lessons! Woo Hoo, so he was here last week and it turns out he is an incredibly real (lol) and very nice person. Carrie even referred to him as her FAVORITE STUDENT! That say a lot !

Below  are some photos of Paul using an airbrushing technique on a Hamburger Cake that Carrie was teaching him.

(I also want to point out the spray booth he’s using. It’s is one of Carrie’s favorite tools, SHE LOVES IT. When we airbrush the LAST thing we want is  over spray getting on any of the other cakes. That was awesome first of all, I love that they actually asked our permission because, lets be honest I have seen Carrie’s Cakes photos on sooo many other websites taking credit where it is NOT due… But anyway back to the point.  It was really fun to have an Italian website want our stuff! I may be just a little “country bumpkin” but anything Italian impresses me! LOL Italian shoes, clothes, culture and now online magazines  ha ha ha… Anyway, here is the link encase anyone would like to “take a gander… ”  HOW COOL!
