The time in creating your wedding cake masterpiece can take several people several days and the price tag associated to it could be several thousands of dollars. So what makes one cake $500 dollars and another $3000. Can the $500 cake still be stunningly beautiful? What kind of wedding will you be having? Answering this question will help you decide the style and details of your wedding cake.

Utah has some of the most talented wedding cake artists anywhere in the world. One such person is Carrie of Carrie’s Cakes. That was awesome first of all, I love that they actually asked our permission because, lets be honest I have seen Carrie’s Cakes photos on sooo many other websites taking credit where it is NOT due… But anyway back to the point.  It was really fun to have an Italian website want our stuff! I may be just a little “country bumpkin” but anything Italian impresses me! LOL Italian shoes, clothes, culture and now online magazines  ha ha ha… Anyway, here is the link encase anyone would like to “take a gander… ”  HOW COOL!

What is a Bridal Mall you say?!! The Bridal Mall is a place where many of Salt Lakes finest wedding vendors (Carrie’s Cakes included) will be located everyday for your ease and convenience. It is located at 341 South Main Street, Salt Lake City, Utah.  You can’t quote me on this one but I believe the hours will be between 9am-7pm.
 
Grand Opening is scheduled to happen January 29th, 2011. 

HOWEVER, Big Buddha from Fox 13 will be there tomorrow morning to give you a sneak peak! 

Watch for Budah  between 6:00 am and 9:00 am on Channel 13!

      Have you figures out the secret yet!?? We have been working on a new look for our website for what feels like forever and it’s now finished! New images loaded, new categories and a new Online Store. If you are a cake decorator and want to use the same things Carrie does to get that great look go here. We are now selling Cricut Cake Machines, Cartridges, Fondant Sheeters and of course Carrie’s DVDs!!!! Hopefully we will be selling even more helpful tools in the future :0) AND the BEST part…. the images are BIGGER so you can now get a closer look at the small and intricate details. Woo HOO!

      I never would have thought it could be back breaking to create a new website, but sitting at the computer for hours at a time loading the larger pictures really can wear down a persons eyes and back, WHEW!! I hope you like the new look, I would love your feed back.

      And since we have a “New” theme of “New” stuff.. I thought I would add this picture sent to us by Photographer Dustin Izatt. We did this wedding cake for a bride named Kat… Loooovvve it! It is so different from most of our cakes. It has an elegant ivory column structure to it, but a really pretty lacey floral detail. It’s was nice to get a way from the usual for a minute. Thank you Dustin for sending us this picture, and Congrats kat!
