A couple of months ago a wonderful lady named Linda came and taught me how to create beautiful cakes with the Cricut, for those who don’t know the Cricut was created to make fun and easy scrapbook pages. It is a small machine that would electronically cut out any shape and any size design that comes with the Cricut cartridges…

WELL GET READY…

 Provo Craft has now made this available to do with GUMPASTE! It is a beautiful look, absolutely seamless compared to piping your own design.

 I have put some of my photo below for you too see what we have made so far.

As you can see you can make so many different types of cakes, birthday, wedding, anniversary… etc etc… It could really change the way many of us make our cakes!

Julie TurnerJulie Turner of Spanish Fork, Utah. Julie joined us at the last minute and we were so glad! She came with some fantastic questions and blew us away with how cute her cake turned out.

Kariann RuggKariann Rugg of West Valley City, Utah. Kariann chose to do a marbling technique on her cake and it turned out spectacular. The choc and pink really complimented each other!

Schanelle WardSchanelle Ward of Payson, Utah. Schanelle is another of our students that came to our Fondant Made Easy class earlier in the year. She has a wonderful talent and we can see her becoming a great cake designer!

Betty Jo PrivettBetty Jo Privett of Boise, Idaho. Betty Jo decided to do a bright and colorful cake that turned out so fun It was GREAT to see her creativity at work. Good job Betty Jo.

We wanted to share some picturesfrom one of our recent classes “Topsy Turvey Cakes” witheveryone. I am so proud of our students and how quickly they catch on. I really do enjoy getting to meet all of the people that have the same interest and love of “sugar art” as I do. And it is so fasinating to see the different types of work and styles that they come up with!

Making the Topsy Turvey cakes is one of our favorite things to do here at Carrie’s Cakes. They have so much personality, you can really get to express yourself. So, it is truly a great time to see my students take over and create their ownunique designs. I want to thank these women for joining me. It really is a priviledge to get to teach eachof them. What a pleasure Anwar Al-Eniziand her mother Haifa Al-Kazemywere!
