It is a slow night and my kids are playing quietly (which means I should go check on them to make sure they are not being naughty) so I thought, I would put up this incredible cake.
The “box cake” is one of THE cakes that really helped Carrie gain her reputation as a cake designer. It is a cake that tricks everyone! They can’t quiet tell where the cake starts and where the flowers begin.
So here’s the scoop, this particular cake is a 3 tier triangle. We covered the cake in white fondant that is about an inch taller than the actual cake its self. This gives the cake a “shelf” for the florist to put the petals in. And we do some “trickery” to get the fondant panels to look like envelopes… And walah you have a beautiful eye catching cake!
