Sometimes I just have to throw a post out there about how subtlety if matched with the right surrounding elements can be everything. If you’re a laid back bride and don’t want people talking about how insane or crazy your wedding is, it can be better to go with a sleek classy cake.
That is exactly what Lisa did. She chose to have her wedding at Alta’s Rustler Lodge, the scenery around the venue is so beautiful that Lisa let the mountains be her backdrop and kept her wedding classy so not to compete with the surrounding. She even choose to go classic and simple for with the cake. We made a four tier round wedding cake, with soft white fondant. None of that funky topsey turvey cake stuff for her! And that is what totally makes her day Classic Beauty.

Alta sits at the top of the canyon so you have this wonderful breeze that comes through, UGH it’s like HEAVEN… Just looking at the photos given to us by Pepper Nix makes me CRAVE the mountains in summer!
Sometimes if you have little time to plan your wedding but you want it done right you can hire a wedding planner. Lisa hired Lillie Garrido to help her with all of the finishing touches. And I must say they did a fantastic job!
You can see from the photo above that, Lisa choose to add ribbon to her cake to achieve the right shade of periwinkle and a subtle wedding cake monogram on the third tier in white so as not to stand out too much. And of course the cake is adorned with flowers done by Jerry Rose of Hillside floral.
